Come out to the farm this November for a morning hike through the Ten Apple Farm woods with our herd of Alpine dairy goats!
A Ten Apple Farm goat hike is a two hour educational and recreational goat experience. Our summer and autumn hikes consist of an approximately one and a half mile loop through the woods on lightly groomed trails. There is some steep terrain. Children must be at least 5 years old and accompanied by an adult. (Children 4 and under must be carried, children 5-6 should plan to hold a adult’s hand during the hike). Along the way we’ll talk about the wide variety of things goats are used for, including dairy, fiber, land management, as pack animals, and you’ll learn a thing or two about raising and caring for goats. After the hike, you’ll be able to sample some fresh goat milk and cookies!
$15 per adult, $10 for teens & seniors, $5 for kids (ages 5-12).*
Postponement due to weather: We can’t take the goats out if it’s raining. We will be watching the weather and temperature forecast in the days leading up to the hike and will let you know within 24 hours of the hike time whether the hike is a go or not.
Cancellation policy: If we have to postpone the hike due to weather, we will reschedule you on the next available hike, schedule a new make up date for the hike, or offer you a refund. If you cancel at least 7 days prior to the hike date we can offer you a full refund. If you are not feeling well on the day of the hike, please let us know, stay home, and we will fully refund your tickets. Other than for reasons of covid-related illness, we can’t issue refunds without at least 7 days notice.
*A glitch in our ticketing software lists the TOTAL number of tickets available under each kind of ticket. The number listed is the TOTAL tickets available, not the amount of each adult, teen/senior, or child tickets individually available. We apologize for any confusion and are working on fixing this issue.
