Join us for a half day farm adventure!
Start in the kitchen with Margaret, cooking a batch of apple butter, and learning how to safely seal jars in a water bath canner. Move outside with Karl to take our herd of Alpine dairy goats for a hike through our woods, then continue with a lesson in milking. As with all our hikes, we’ll end back in the kitchen with fresh goat milk and cookies!
We’ll be putting up different fruits and vegetables throughout the summer & fall—check individual event pages to see what we’re planning (and canning!) next.
Participants take home a sealed pint jar of apple butter.
Maximum 8 people: $50/person (includes ticket for afternoon goat hike at 2pm)
Cancellation Policy: Workshop will take place rain or shine. Tickets cancelled 5 days (or more) in advance of workshop will receive a full refund. Cancellations 4 days or less before workshop will receive 50% refund.
