Goat Milking & Morning Chores

Fri October 8 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

Join Margaret and Karl for daily morning chores on Ten Apple Farm! You’ll meet our baby goats, and learn how to milk the mama goats! We raise French Alpine dairy goats, and milk 3-4 goats by hand twice a day, every day — something we’ve been doing for 14 years. We start with an introduction to the goats and the farm, meeting and feeding the other animals. On our diversified farm, we have lots of animals, goats, pigs, sheep, chickens, ducks, and miniature horses. We’ll tour the farm, feeding and watering the animals and talking about their care and the role each one plays on our diversified homestead. We’ll take a break for breakfast, a beautiful spread of fresh baked goods from our farmhouse kitchen, homemade granola and goat milk yogurt, coffee, tea, and juice, and of course, goat milk! Then we’ll head out to the barn, you’ll learn how to milk the goats, and help us feed the goats their breakfast of hay and grain. At the end of chores, weather permitting, we’ll put the goats out in their pasture.

Goat milking and morning chores is booked as an Airbnb Experience. Book this Experience on Airbnb!
