Margaret and the girls picking peas in the garden

Things are gradually getting back to normal (as normal as they ever really are!) on Ten Apple Farm. Margaret is making a terrific recovering from Lyme’s Disease and Bell’s Palsy, and we’re starting to return to the activities that we love on the farm. The garden got a little over grown during our hiatus, but there were many treasures to be found among the weeds. We’ve decided rather than fret about the things that didn’t get planted in June/July, or things that didn’t make it, to revel in what the garden has produced. There have been plenty of peas, to the delight of Charlotte and Bea, who are expert pea pickers, not to mention carrots, beets, basil, potatoes, and much more. We’ve been celebrating Margaret’s return to health by eating healthy and from the garden, creating big bountiful dinner salads.
